    UPDATE FYI: it does not work with Google Chrome and worked with MS Internet Explorer as well as Mozilla Firefox.

    I tried this procedure but it did not work: I selected only the rows of the html page and pasted to the empty excel spreadsheet and the formatting is lost. I tried with all the paste/paste special options of excel.
