Tests with Debian-12, KUbuntu-24 and Ubuntu-24 resulted in:
      – Java 7 -> crashes with OutOfMemory erros
      – Java 8u451 and newer -> Editor does not work due missing JFX
      – Some other Java 8 -> warnings, exceptions, errors and unstable behaviour
      – OpenJDK -> ReqIFStudio won’t run at all

Is there a “known good” combination for installation for ReqIFStudio on Linux?

      Hi Renzo,

The safest option is to use Java 8 from Oracle, which ships with JFX, which is still available for download.

Alternatively, you can use OpenJDK up to version 11, but without JFX. Alternatives are disabling the JFX editor (using text editor as fallback) or to purchase Extend, which does not rely on JFX.
